BMI is a Gold Partner within the Oxley Creek Catchment Associations CreekWatch Industry group. This is a not-for-profit community-based organisation that aims to protect and enhance the natural environment and resources of the Oxley Creek. Through this sponsorship, BMI has supported rehabilitation, community volunteering activities and revegetation projects.

Committed to continued support

BMI continues to provide regular support to other causes and community organisations including food relief programs, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Mates 4 Mates, local sporting clubs and homeless centres.

WRIQ represents Waste Queensland waste operators. As the state industry group, WRIQ aims to elevate the waste management and recycling industry through services, education, and advocacy for members to achieve successful environmental, social and economic outcomes.

National Waste and Recycling Industry Council (NWRIC)

The NWRIC is composed of national waste and recycling companies and representatives from affiliated associations representing more than 450 businesses across Australia. WRIQ is an affiliated association of the NWRIC.

Demolition and Asbestos Industry Association (DAIA)

DAIA represents the broader resource recovery industry in Queensland, promoting safe work practices for the demolition, asbestos removal, recycling and associated industries and the diversion of waste from landfill achieved through increased recycling of valuable resources and materials resulting from relocation and deconstruction activities.

Green Building Council Australia

This industry body runs Australia’s largest national, voluntary sustainable buildings rating system –Green Star. Green Star assesses and rates buildings, interiors, and communities against range of environmental impact categories that align with Sustainable Development Goals. BMI has achieved accreditation of our Construction and Demolition Waste facilities at Stapylton and Acacia Ridge and demonstrates our commitment to minimise waste disposed to landfill.
