BMI Property’s newest acquisition, Breakfast Creek Boardwalk has recently commenced the final portion of its staged refurbishment program, on its way to becoming the most sought after new precinct in Brisbane, Breakfast Creek Boardwalk.
BMI recently sold the 23-year-old, two-level retail and commercial complex, Breakfast Creek Boardwalk, in Newstead. Once boasting the world’s most intricate water clock, stunning river views from its observation tower and attracting thousands to its restaurants and specialty stores, Breakfast Creek Boardwalk was the place in Brisbane to eat, shop and be seen.
This landmark complex occupied a prime waterfront position on Breakfast Creek at the gateway Newstead, Teneriffe and Fortitude Valley and provided convenient access to the city’s major roads, with three street frontages as well as over 100 metres of frontage along the Breakfast Creek waterway.
BMI Group undertook capital works to renew and refresh the development, which was renamed Breakfast Creek Boardwalk, and improved the overall profile of the property.
BMI Property was responsible for the urban redevelopment of this heritage listed location, offering New York style warehouse living in the heart of Brisbane.
The oldest Woolstore in the Teneriffe area, this heritage listed building has been artfully redeveloped to offer a low maintenance lifestyle of urban sophistication. Soaring ceilings, polished hardwood floors and exposed brick work and beams mean that the building retains its original character while the spacious balconies, modern finishes and stylish common areas make the Winchcombe Carson Woolstore the perfect space for modern living and entertaining.
This four stage development includes 128 architecturally designed units ranging from open one and two bedroom spaces, to expansive four bedroom plus loft apartments, with expansive views over the city and the Brisbane river.
Wanting to retain as much of the old world charm of the original building as possible, while providing a modern twist, BMI Group endeavoured to keep the original wool bale tunnels, brickwork, wool scales and heavy hardwood doorways where possible. As such, Winchcombe Carson Woolstore is in an aesthetically striking building at the leading edge of contemporary style.
This dynamic location offers a vibrant walk to New Farm Park, James Street, Emporium and some of Brisbane’s finest boutiques, restaurants and bars and is easily accessible by City Cat, ferry or bus.
Embrace the lifestyle of this enviable cosmopolitan address, set within the urban redevelopment of this heritage listed Teneriffe location.
Commencing its Reach Bulimba master-planned project with the development of a precinct bordered by Stuart Street and Love Street, BMI Group has been instrumental in redefining the Bulimba lifestyle.
Reach – Precinct 1 involved the release of 31 premium residential allotments, providing the opportunity for the lucky few to design their own contemporary masterpiece in what is arguably one of Brisbane’s most prestigious riverfront suburbs.
Surrounding developments include Park Reach and River Reach Bulimba located on Riverbend Place and Love Street respectively, and Oxford on Boardwalk with its prestigious Oxford Street address.
Park Reach Bulimba is a stylish development consisting of 45 apartments and positioned on Bulimba River Park, offering the opportunity to lead an active healthy outdoor lifestyle.
One of two boutique developments at this location, Park Reach features modern design and quality finishes throughout with stone benchtops, stainless steel appliances, and great landscaping. A quality complex with swimming pool, lift access, air conditioning and secure parking together with professional on-site managers.
River Reach is a prestigious riverside development in Bulimba, an increasingly rare location in one of Brisbane’s most liveable suburbs.
The second of the two boutique developments at this location and consisting of 50 apartments, River Reach features wide entertaining decks, luxuriously finished bathrooms and a chic and neutral colour scheme allowing for a tasteful, low maintenance lifestyle. With professional on-site management, landscaped gardens and river and city views, this development is only metres from the riverfront Bulimba Boardwalk and the new Bulimba River Park.
Only a short stroll from the cafes, cinemas and shopping of Oxford Street, this cosmopolitan precinct is only 3.5km from the CBD and is easily accessible by City Cat, cross river ferry or bus.
Located in one of Brisbane’s most sought after suburbs, Oxford on Boardwalk utilises contemporary and sophisticated styling and its waterfront, Bulimba location to offer a luxury lifestyle.
Conveniently situated on Oxford Street, this development is only a leisurely stroll from all that Bulimba offers including boutiques, cafes and cinemas, and with bus or City Cat transport virtually at your door, provides the perfect location to indulge in riverfront entertaining and living.
Oxford on Boardwalk features contemporary modern finishes with granite bench tops, stainless steel gas appliances and ducted air conditioning. The open plan design means that units are bathed in natural light while the expansive entertaining terraces provide panoramic river, city and woolstore views. In all, the precinct includes 14 luxury riverfront units, 4 unique townhouses with poolside courtyards, and 21 architecturally designed units based around a central atrium courtyard.
With scenery that is simply breathtaking – stunning sunsets, sparkling city lights and tranquil river views – a great place to call home.
Oxford on Boardwalk is also the location of our restaurant space, currently occupied by The Jetty Oxford. Featuring recycled hardwood floors and furnishings, stainless steel finishes and a contemporary black, white and nautical palette, refurbishment of this unsurpassed restaurant space was completed by BMI Group in 2010, in conjunction with renowned chef and owner of The Jetty Oxford, Jason Coates.
Based at Queensport Rd, Murarrie, this repurposed cold storage warehousing now offers value for money large volume storage with great access to the Gateway Motorway and Wynnum Road.
This commercial precinct at Bowen Hills is a dynamic location within convenient walking distance of Breakfast Creek, Teneriffe, and Fortitude Valley and is easily accessible by City Cat, ferry, bus or train. The site recently been taken over by Avenues Child Care.
If Fortitude Valley is the established home of stylish commercial precincts, then Bowen Hills is it’s trendy up and coming neighbour.

Jordan Terrace has been restyled from its original fifties beginnings into a funky and usable commercial space. Consisting of three remodelled floors, landscaped gardens and convenient bbq areas. This building has recently been purchased by Avenues Child Care.
Folkestone Street 1 – BMI’s original Bowen Hills office incorporating three floors of commercial development space as well as the heritage listed Schonell House was developed for resale, and settled in 2010.
Folkestone Street 2 – The completed refurbishment of this space incorporating column free offices, stylish landscaped break-out areas and a generous car parking ratio has since led to the sale of the building and the development of Bowen Hills first day care centre by Avenues Early Learning.
