How Technology is Improving BMI’s Recycled Products

In October 2023 our Watson Road Resource Recovery site (Bemcove) received two new Finlay Terex mobile screeners that are used to produce Recycled Aggregates and Crusher Dust. These heavy-duty machines are attached to our fixed concrete processing plant.

What role does the Finlay Terex 893 play in processing our waste?

At BMI our Finlay Terex 893 and Terex 984 are designed to separate and sort various materials such as aggregates, topsoil, and waste. These materials are screened and graded into different sized aggregates. Our Finlay Terex 893 produces 40mm recycled aggregates and also delivers material to our Finlay Terex 984 which further screens and sort materials producing 5mm, 10mm and 20mm recycled aggregates and crusher dust. These products are provided for purchase to the civil construction market and residential customers.

How much can the Terex process?

With their large screening areas and high capacity, these two screens combined can produce up to 2500-3000 tonnes of material daily.

What are the benefits?

The benefits for BMI and our customers are much higher processing volumes, less down time and the final product quality is improved significantly.
